has anyone used pre-set eyes from any tax. company. Would you recommend doing this? Also, I've used McKenzie forms, like them, but I am from Wisconsin and McKenzie forms seem to have a very narrow face for Wisconsin deer, any suggestions to get broader face forms, am willing to try other companies.
Thanks

These mannikins are made by three award winning Wisconsin taxidermists/sculptors. They fit Wisconsin deer very well. You can buy them from Matuska Supply. Here is their website - http://www.Matuskataxidermy.com/supply.htm
Call them though because they have more forms available than shown on the website and more being sculpted all the time.
also makes nice forms with pre-set eyes. You need to get ahold of McKenzie Taxidermy Supply
Have a good one, Joe
For you guys who want squareheaded deer. LOL
I have used a preset whitetail just recently from Dan Reinhart, who is from Edgerton Wisconsin and it was great. Just measure correctly and use the video along with it and it is simple. I am a newby on deer and it turned out as well as any professional and I did not have to pay 400 dollars for it.....I was very pleased with everything about the preset form.
using forms with pre set eyes, from John Rinehart taxidermy. They came out nice. When I finally convinced myself that I coud set the eyes myself, I started using McKensie forms, with the accurate eyesets. Like you, I feel they have a very narrow face, for Michigan deer. Van Dykes have some good forms with the eyeset angles. Matuska has some of the best looking forms, IMO, but you have to set the angles yourself. Order the whitetail video from them, and he shows and explains angles and degrees better than any other training video I've seen. You won't be disappointed.
