rehydrate to fix eye

Got a question...........again.......ive noticed after my deer mount has been drying for 2 weeks that the one eye is just not to my liking, most people probably wouldn't even notice but i'd like to rehydrate and re-align/adjust the skin. its almost as if the one side of the face slid down leaving the pupil of the eye to high up into the eyelid. is it simply a matter of leaving a wet towel on to rehydrate then readjust? must have been paying to much attention to the shapeing and didn't notice until to late, i'll watch that next time!
cape was thinned on machine then liqua tanned.
how long are you able to rehydrate , like a year...2 years after mounted?

Thanks again all
Kevin

be able to. I have not used Liqua tan before, but I know the tan that I use I can. I simple take a squirt bottle with water and soak the eye area that I want to fix. The place a wet paper towel over it. I then take a plastic bag and wrap just the problem area. I have gotten busy with other mounts and forgot about the one I just finished and had to come back to fix it.
Hope this helps have a great day and be safe

it depends

you can relax it , but if you used a apoxie type hide glue you might have some trouble.because the glue wont release and soften up. if the hide glue was water based it shouldnt be any problem.
