I have been looking through about all of my catalouges for a whitetail pedestal mount video but cannot find any!.Any one know were to look? I am going to do my first Pedestal mount & want to do it right! Thanks!

mount a deer there is not too much left to know other than finishing off the back of the form.
The 10th deer I ever mounted was my stepsons 8 pointer. I did a pedestal mount finished off the back with a piece of leather and some upholstry tacks, I first screwed a wooden rod to the slot on the back of the form and used bondo to fill in the gaps and secure it real well. I left around 8" of the rod protruding downward and took a driftwood stump that I got out of the Delaware river and drilled a hole in it slightly larger than the rod and filled it with bondo then set the rod with the mount inside. I then screwed the whole thing to a mount panel to give it a base.Once the mount was secure I went to the craft store and bought me some artificial cattails and moss and decorated around the stump to finish off the piece.
