Just got a quick question. I recieved a nice 5 pointer in 99% full velvet. He harvested the deer on September 16th 2005. I just wanted to know what stage you thought the antlers are in now? Do you think the antler themselve is still soft. I know that on the tips it is just starting to peel. If you guys could just feed me with some of your knowledge. Thanks in advance.. Todd

asking us what stage the antlers are in. is like asking an auto appraiser how much a car is worth without showing it to him. you have the rack. you should be able to tell better than we. it also depends on where you are located. the further north you are the sooner the velvet matures. so for us to even take a stab at it. it would be helpful to know if you are in Canada, or Mexico, or somewhere in between. However with the info provided, I would say they are mature velvet, with no soft horn. bleed them and inject velvet tan.
