I have made buckskin leather and it is supose to be drying. I oiled it and after removeing the left over oil puddle hung it up to dry. This is the second day and it is still damp, we have been getting a lot of rain but it has been in a closed in shed. Did I do something wrong?

It is a cold hard fact, if it's humid out it will take longer to dry. It should not hurt anything, but you may get some green mold on the skin before it's dry. No big deal mold can be washed off. If you have a de-humidifier this will help. Have a good one! Joe
thanks for the help
