im new at this and im having trouble.i had my first mount looked over and found that the start of my problems was pulling the hide down too far over the brisket which started a chain reaction of small problems.well im pretty sure ive over come that mistake but it seems like i end up with too much hide in the upper neck area.i try to smooth out the wrinkles as best as i can .is this a common problem and is there a simple way to correct it? the forms arent too big or too small (to the best of my knowledge)i feel that my mounts are average at best but are still missing that "edge" that sets them apart from the rest.any suggestions?

...the too much hide in the upper neck comes from (1) pulling the hide too taut at the brisket, and (2) having the ears positioned too far down the neck instead of up on the head behind the eye as they should be. The ear butt skin needs to be wrinkled and used up there, not down on the neck. And then there's #3 - a good hide paste. If you're using a good hide past, position your anatomical markers in the brisket, chin, throat patch, then MAKE the hide fit the form. A good mount does fit "loosely" and needs to be "packed" into proper position.
