Use the orange button to the left of the screen and type: Air Skinner. Many opinions there.

Yes!

Used it last weekend on my doe. Skinning was easy and it didn't take long at all. I'd estimate it cut my time skinning down by about 75%

Dont ya love when some wise guy gets on, crabs about the orange button, and then signs off.

I think the forum should have a rule. If you want to invoke "ORANGE BUTTON!" you should be required to state SOMETHING useful.

I have wanted to see how this works. I haven't been able to justify spending the money on such a simple tool. I tried to fashion my own but cant get all the parts I need.

If someone has one out there lets us know how it works. It would seem to me it would cut down on fleshing and skinning time. Especially around the neck area where the meat likes to stick.

Too funny OJ

This wise guy (me) left his name and email-- how about you.

Look at the post titled: Air skinner, posted by (oh look at this): OJ on 11/18/2003. There are three replies there with three different opinions. You've been looking since '03?

Keep scrolling down and you will find other useful posts (like blowing out ears, compressor noise, etc.) I use a draw knife and fleshing beam. Works for me and hundreds others. What else would you like to hear that hasnt been stated in the archieves a thousand times?

Touchy touchy

My point is that why get on at all when you are not going to really help. If you look through the posts, there isnt alot of good info. Thats why I have waited three years to spend the bucks.

New people join this site all the time. People develop new skills to share. I am hoping that someone who owns one of the gadgets will jump in and give us a real opinion. I do more birds than anything, but if the thing is REALLY the cats meow, I might buy one.

Sorry if I put a burr under your saddle. It just bugs me when someone throws the orange button out there and nothing else. You would think that nothing will ever change, evolve, or warrant further discussion. Heck, close down the site and leave the archives- Its all there, everything you ever wanted to know. Yes the archives are a great tool. We all use em. But sometimes someone will have a very specific question that may not be in there. Sometimes you have to word something in JUST the right way to find it.

There, thats been on my chest for a while. So has the fact that no one has ever given a great review of this tool!

As for my e-mail and stuff. I sometimes leave it, but I am a little leary of the internet nut jobs.

I will have to look at my 2003 post. I dont recall any super replies.

What do you want?

If it was the cats meow it would be talked about. It would be getting as much attention as "fleshing turkeys with a pressure washer" That idea was demonstrated at this years NTA show. Dont recall seeing a seminar on the air skinner.

Here's an idea: goto Menards, Lowes, Home Deopt and look in the air tool section and then tell me you dont see everything you would need to make your own.

When I trapped allot

I took a needle that is used to inflate basketballs and ground the end at a 60degree angle. I would insert it into the animal's leg and pump away. If you want to try it before you buy it, go buy yourself a $1 inflating needle and you're in the game.
