when the length of the point is longer than the circumference of the base is when it is a point!!

A point has to be at least one inch long for the record books on antlered game except for caribou which is 1/2 inch. At least one inch down from the tip or 1/2 inch for caribou the width must be less than than how far down the point you have measured. An example would be if you measured down 1 1/8 down and the witdth at that area is less than 1 1/8 then you would measure all the way down to the base of the point even if the width at the base is greater than the length. If you measured down one inch and it was 15/16 across in that area and the point measured 1 3/8 long but was 1 5/8 across at the base this would be entered as a point. Measurements are done to nearest 1/8 when measuring antlers or horns, but there is no rounding off when trying to measure down at least one inch.
