I use the bondo method

If you haven't tried it yet, give it a whirl sometime. I used to use earliners and tried the bondo method and will never go back. Once the ear is done, it's done and you don't have to worry about the liner fitting just right. I haven't tried the ear magic, but plan to give it a shot. The bondo is cheap, easy to do and seems to work well. Some guys say they don't like it because it will leak out of any little hole, but if you sew up the big ones and have somewhat of a thick mixture it's not too bad. When I do get a little running out of a hole I hit it with a little lacquer thinner and it brushes right out.

you state you never have to sew the split ends of the ears when u use ear magic. Does this stuff dry rapidly or do u have to hold it in place for awhile? and when it drys and shrinks a bit the ear stays together at the ends that were split. I am very interested in more on the ear magic and how to get away from sewing the split ends of ears. Thanks for the ideas.
