I used dry preservative many years ago and got away from it to use the different liquid tans like Lu-tan F and liquitan , I also send some of my hides to tanneries but often no matter who I send them to they come back with the faces stretched. I have heard of some good results with a dry pres. called E-Z tan from [a supply company], does anyone have any feedback on it or any other dry preservative? have they improved over the years in terms of shrinkage or reliability? Thanks, Mac.

That's the answer to your last question.
Mac. when you throw the chase name around in here your going to pretty much get bashed. So avoid the name as much as possble. But to answer your question about the dry preservative. if your going to use a dry preservative I would recomend you give BessMaid from Touchstone a try its about if not is the best Dp you can get. Also assumeing you obviously know how to flesh and thin a hide. thats where your going to find Dp works the best for you as with any other type of preservative. The thinner the better.
