Dumb question. What is drumming? I here it a lot.

Drumming is when the hide shrinks and pulls away from the form due to the lack of glue, or the hide drying faster than the glue behind it, or from not using the proper glue or epoxy. Spots likely to drum first are the insides of ears. You can tap on these areas with you're fingers and find that there is nothing but air behind the skin.
...if the form doesn't fit properly in the first place this can also cause drumming...
an air pocket left by not smoothing out the glue.
