space from antler base to ear

Submitted by paul on 12/8/05 at 6:01 PM. ( )

Got a oddball deer,140 class 10pt the cape fits great on the form the only problem that I am having is these antlers grow almost straight up not the usual back and out.bettween the antler base and ear butts I have a three inch space from the front it looks good but from the side it just looks odd (to me).does anyone else run in to this and how do you adjust the ears to not look so odd or is this just a taxidermist fault in being to picky. Also the ears I used were the ear forward style I'm thinking if I had ear back style it would hide It a litle more, but I don,t. Thanks
