Tube cut mounting

Wondering how far I need to cut down the back of the kneck as I cant seem to pull the cape over the form easily. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

...your cut need not be any longer than the base of the ear butts.

your measurements like george said have to be correct.The cape when measurements are correct shoould slid right over without pulling on the hide.I don't know how much experience you have but be sure of your measurements then try to get a cape 1half to 1 inch smaller then your measurement's otherwise your leaving a window for a host of problems. plastic bag

a plastic bag over the form will help slip the hide over the head. Then just pull the bag out of the nose.

I have noticed that some forms are more difficult to pull the cape over than others. Some have a high ear butt area on the back of the head and others, like Rinehart forms have a high foam ridge behind the antler base area making pulling the cape over difficult. Depending on the antlers and skull cap, I somtimes have to trim the foam down to get the cape slide on.
