I dont want the antlers to look polished, just want to touch them up a bit and look natural. What should i use

PS I too have asked many questions on this forum and never came back to say thank you after i read the answers to my questions. I just thought once people answered my question they would not be back to see that i said thanks for the help. To all who have helped me, and there are many. THANK YOU VERY MUCH John

So many johns, it seams to be a neutral name that posters use in place of there own. Many Bobs and Billy's here also. However, the search button says that one way is to use a 50/50 mix of boiled linseed oil and turpentine. When it dries, it looks nice and natural also.

all i use is mild detergent and warm water. I clean them off lightly wire brush. Then i lightly with a soft wire brush go over the antlers around the burrs anjust up past the eye guard's. Then to finish them i use a spray on sealer clear coat protector from krylon it's been amazing how they come out.You can make them look regular or put a light gloss to them. Remember this is just my preference their are many ways to achieve the look you want i hope i helped good luck hunter
