I was trying to open an ear Tuesday (very tough one) and snap, my opener broke in the hinge. Guess I could drill it out and run a bolt through it.

I ran a 8/32 receptacle srew through it with a lock nut and cut off the excess. I'd take a new one if I could get it though.

The same thing happened to me when I first got mine. I put a stanless steel bolt and lock nut through it and it has been working fine for over 10 years. Jonas should have corrected that problem by now by beefing up that hinge.
