what do you guys use to coat your paint in the ears of your deer to keep the paint from coming off and Do you guys spray some light paint on the hair around the eyes if so what colors do you use.I'm talking about using an airbrush.

I use a base coat sealer in the ears, let it dry, and I use water based paint, my air brush is a gravity feed, I put maybe 3/16 " of white in the bowl, mix in 1 drop of black and spray the inner ear lightly. Let dry, take a paper towel and brush the hair back and forth briskly to remove the paint off of the hair, paint a second time, let that dry and do the paper towel thing again. Done.
I normally do not paint around the eyes, others do. It's up to you, I only paint the eye lids and use very little paint at that. Many beginner videos over paint just for the sake of teaching. IMO, less paint, the better. I only highlight the deer's own natural features and to much paint is un-natural.
