Things that I see

David, I would say that this is a good 1st attempt. They only get better as you go; I know. Can't say it enough. . . reference, reference, reference. Study as many pictures as you can. If you need some digital pics, I can help; send me an email.
Some of the major things that I see:
The ear butt needs to be as wide as the widest part of the ear itself. You need more mass in that area. Anatomically the ear is a little off in position (butt is back a bit). It appears to have a sag. Not sure if you built the ear with bondo or used a liner? It also appears to curl in at the tip of the ear.
The shoulder hair looks as though it's pulled into the armpit at bit. The long shoulder hair should curtain the armpit and the hair in armpit runs back up to the curtain.
The upper eyelid is a bit rounded. Study closeups of the eye. The lid is a fairly straight line with the high point in the front sloping to a low point in the back. Your high point is in the center.
Tuck the tear duct hair to hair. Should not see hairless skin in the duct.
Would like to see some different pics of the lipline, but looks ok from this angle.
These are the things that jump out at me as "Needs Improvement". You really did a pretty decent job for your first. It will be amazing when you do several and then look back at this one and say "WOW". Study those pics and keep on taxi-ing. practice makes better. Good job and Good luck.

i think it looks great.
