Need Help

I need some help on my deer ears. I just discovered that my ear skin moved on the ear liner and there is a big knot of ear skin half way down the inside of the ear. The skin has bunched up and dried. I dont know why this got passed me but it did. I used the McKenzie epoxy for ears. The deer has been drying for about two weeks. Should I wait until the deer is completely dry and maybe cut the knot out and smooth with epoxy sculpt or what should I do. Any advise would be appreciated. THANKS

Answered your own question. Thats the drawback with using apoxies weather its hide paste or for earliners. What you have after its dried, is what you've got, so get it right the first time. Cut out the lump and blend with sculptall of your choice.

rehydrate

Maybe try wrapping the ear in a wet rag and slipping a ziplock bag over it overnight. Then you might be able to taxi it in place and inject adhesive. I'd try it before you took the ear under the knife.
