do you wheel shave your deer skin after you rough flesh it.
i was a little unclear of that step when you ansewered christine
post. also how much total cost do you have in a deer skin.
thinking about switching. you dont want to know what i use now you would probably kill me but that stuff is sooo easy to use.thanks so much. please sell me on jrts.

MAYBE $5 in materials, 2 hours in time working

I must get between 10 and 12 hides tanned from a gallon and then maybe 2 pounds of salt.

I really don't "rough flesh". When I start, everything is on the wheel. IF I can shave some of the thicker skin along the back of the neck, I get it right while I'm on the wheel. Then I salt, tan, and before I get ready to mount, I finish shave it if I find any thicker places in the hide.
