12 gauge hole in the right cheek

got an 8 point in that has been shot in the right cheek and then came out his neck on the other side. Holes seam to be pretty clean. I was wondering if cleaning them up more and pinning them up would look the best. I use killer glue on the face area on my mounts. The owner said he doesn't mind to have a small scar there, so he doesn't sound picky.
thanx for the help.

With a small needle and 4lb test spider wire. Keep the stitches close. If you trim the hole well it shouldn't leave a very bad seem. Good luck!

I had one last year

that had a 12 gauge slug EXIT hole on the right back corner of the lip, along the cheek. I wasn't sure how my sewing job was going to be, and exlpained that to the customer. To my surprise, it came out great. I trimmed a football hole around it first, and kept the stitch tight. The seam was only visible to the customer, when he asked where the hole use to be, LOL! Take your time, and you should be fine.

If a guy did what Terryr said, I would make him get a new cape simply because of the lack of respect for the animal. Not to mention the lack of respect for his taxidermist. What an idiot! (not terryr, the hunter)
