Check out Breakthrough a few years back.Don't remember the Taxidermist. The mount is Sleeping Giant, he talks about how hard it was to get a picture of a sleeping deer. Maybe someone will come up with the issue #. Hope this helps. Dan

to get a picture of a sleepin' deer. All ya gotta do is to become one with the forest and hang with the deer. Eventually they get tired, then they get sleepy, then they lay down, and then while they're just layin' all still, "CLICK", thar it is.......a purdy pitcher of a sleeping eye. It's that simple.

Once ya catch on to these computer thangs, they're one of the handiest reference tools you'll ever find. It's really amazing what kind of a look at something you can get when you use some of the photo programs out there to enlarge or change exposure values. Heck, ya lighten up the exposure on a brown eyed deer and you can SEE what that pupil is doing. Do I have to teach you guys everything? I'm the one with the Computer Illiterate title.

Reference photos taken specifically for taxidermy applications can be found on floppy disk from the more progressive suppliers such as WASCO, Research Mannikins, Quality Taxidermy Supply and Whitetail Designer Systems.

Roy, I sent you a closed eye photo as a sample. It is from the disk described below:
