Have a Deer mount question.

I mounted a buck on a 4600 series form and it has the fleshmen nose piece. (lip cural)All is well, It mounted up good, BUT, I don't like the eyes, I think with this type of mount the eyes should have been closed a lot more. I left the eyes in the standard open look, if you will. What do you guys think. Can I rehrydrate the eye area, pull the upper lids down, reglue and let dry or leave it alone? Thanks Bob

Your reference will show a very heavy looking brow in this position, Perhaps Bill Yox will comment on what I think is a very interesting pose. There is a Joe Meder video available that goes into great detail on the eye work on this particular pose also

I would rehydrate and re-work if it were me. There are some articles behind the orange button about eye setting for deer in this pose. Try them, I think the answer is there. Good Luck.

Get the meder reference head

Buy the meder reference head. One eye is sculpted in the standard more open alert pose, the other is the more closed, sleepy, relaxed pose that looks sweet with the flemhen pose.
