I have just got interested in taxidermy. I have a question. I had a guy mount a buck for me a couple of years ago. He filled the nostrils with some kind of white epoxy. It set up hard. I was just wondering if there was a way i can remove the epoxy and finish out the nostrils. Thanks for your help. JJ

If you are thinking about getting into taxidermy you might consider taking the antlers off that mount and getting a cape and mounting it yourself. It sounds like he probably didnt do a very good job if he filled in the nostrils with epoxy. If thats not an option a dremel tool would probably do the job.
I have mount 3 deer so far. I would remount this one but the rest of it looks very good. It just bothers me everytime i see that epoxy in the nose. Thanks Alot JJ
