I have some black & cream & neither seem to be drying @ all. I mixed some today & used it on a deer. About 5 hours later its not dry. I even mixed extra herdener in it. Has any body else had this happen. I've had it about 6 months.
Thanks

...that you didn't mix it enough? Take two very small equal parts (A&B) and mix them together WELL. Let them dry 2 hours. If it's not fairly dry, then you've got a bad batch )perhaps two of the same parts?) If it's dry, then you probably didn't mix it well enough. When I mix big quantities of epoxy i usually roll each part out like a snake and wrap the two pieces together and twist them up (an old pottery trick). Do this several times. Then, kneading it with your fingers imho works best...
I've done that myself. Having several containers on a work bench, I pulled out the black I needed and what I thought to be the "B" part of the mix. Next morning I discovered I'd used Black 'A" and mixed it with natural "A". They don't work well like that.
Damn, George, I thought I was the only one that did that.
Me too!
LOL.
And more than once! Oh the shame. Bet Red is about to join our ranks.
Little trick - ALWAYS start with Product "A" and you'll KNOW which one goes second...
been there done that tshirt and everything
I got to thinking bout it last night & checked it this morn & sure enough I had switched the tops & used the same from to different colors. Sorry to have wasted everyones time.
Thx
There's those of us who admit we've done it versus one who hasn't had the opportunity YET. LMAO, Sorry Marty. I do the same, but have 4 or 6 tubs of that stuff on the workbench, be talking to someone, and suddenly your dyslexic. LMAO.
It was a valuable learning tool for those it hasn't happened to yet.
I've only got the 4 pound set and that's it. I've read of this happening to others so I think I've been scared into making sure I don't do it myself - lol! When in doubt, throw it out!
