Mounted a deer last night. I use Head Lock two part epoxie glue for the ear liners, around the pedicals, eyes and on the face. I use different glue on the rest of the deer (not epoxie). Anyway problem is I had to dig into my new containers of Head Lock for this head. I just mixed some up and away I went. After 4 hrs it doesnt seem like my ears are setting. I start investgating and here my supplier sent me two containers of Resin and no Hardner. I mixed up two parts resin :( (the two parts did look a little different)
Now I have two ears, around eyes and a face full of resin with no hardener. The ears are carded. Any Ideas what to do? I am just at a loss as what to do. I just finished mounting it last night about 9:30 and I have a plastic bag over it right now to slow the hide drying process.
I was thinking maybe some other hardener I could inject in that would set the resin up? But what?

...a bad situation for you Silver...Only thing I can see is to take it apart and clean it up and mount it again...GL...TD
remove the glue from all the ares you covered
ya i know
but it will definately drum on you
you should be able to wet the areas down and do this
youll need some more glue that will work
if you dont have any and cant wait get some cailking
its not my first or even my choice but if your in a pinch
you should be able to get by
let us know how you made out
Well I have dug around the shop and found a little bit of Carter Lock tight left in a couple of containers. I don't like the caulking in the ears either. Guess I will tear it apart, clean it up and stink up my shop. :) Those of you who ever used Carter Lock Tight know what I mean.
