Any ideas?

I mounted up a deer head last Monday, anyway I had to play Mr. Mom this week and didn't have anytime to get in the shop. Anywho I went in the shop tonight checking my latest deerheads when I noticed the pin that I put in the front of the eye pulled out in the drying process thus not drying the skin tight to the form on one of the deer. I'm just curious if you guys have had this happen and what to do?

Dont put a pin there. Crowd that skin up tight to the eye, no need for pins. Sounds like its too tight, thus the pulling, and the "need" for pins.

rehydrate asap, also in the future use a caliper to measure eye to nose, if you thin skin properly, prep your form good ,use good hide paste, and use right size form You wont need to pin.
