I am considering doing a doe mount for my studio to prompt customers to consider having does done. I have a couple questions:
1) Can you pull a no-incision doe cape over a form or is it necessary to slit the hide up the back to get it on the form?
2) How do you price doe mounts? The same as a buck?

1. Many times you can get away without an incision. Sometimes you will have to make a relief cut. Depends on how much you want to fight to get the cape onto the form.
2. I'm about $75 cheaper for doe. No cleaning skull cap, less stitching, and doe cape takes about 20% less time to shave/prep.
Does usually take more work than bucks because of what Andy says and I charge accordingly. All the facial detailing and ear butt work remain and the forms aren't less expensive enough that I consider reducing the price for the work needing to be done.
Exact reasons as George stated. BP
