is it the UV rays that harm the mount, light or both. the reason I ask is I have a couple mounts in a room with large windows and I'm trying to decide if see thru UV curtains will protect them, or if I need to go to a thick insulating type curtain to really block out the light...any ideas?

It's damn near impossible to filter it all out. I've got mounts almost 30 yrs old that look great, but have NEVER been in a room with sunlight.
