deer! I had mounted a small neck WT with a nice 150 class antler set. It's neck was 15 inches, and the eye to nose was 7 1/4 inches. I ordered a 6 3/4 x 16. After tanning it fit great around neck and I had to alter the nose length. but the two part urethane was a b@$ch of a mess. Anyways my ears ended up a bit further back than normal and my brisket did not have much of its arm pit area to show. The form was an offset alert sneak from RInehart. This will be the fourth deer I have mounted. Also, my eyes did not line up well neither. So while it is drying I will be repositioning and checking on it more occasional to ensure proper or at least very close as possible eye placement. Too bad there isn't a maker of mannikins for special size needs. I know there is for super big ones.

from Rhinehart forms! They just don't mount up good. Try McKenzie and Meder forms.
With all the forms on the market, why order one that you had to try to alter the head and face. You have only done a few so far. You are better off getting your practice on a form that is a better fit, especially on a 150 class deer
What time of year was this deer shot? With a 150 inch caliber rack, you should be closer to an 18 inch form and up!
Could be wrong, but how did you measure it? Meat measurement, or after tanning and before stretch?
Here in WI, even a 140 inch deer usually has a 20+ inch neck, directly behind the ears.
I measured the meat tight under the chin after caping it out. then while in the salting phase I placed a four wooden dowel rods in the neck to give me a stretch while drying. that is how I ended up with with enough room to fit a the 16 inch mannikin when the meat was 15 inches. or would it be from from the Lutan F tan. it will be ready to finish by the 11 th then I will have pictures of it available for show. Actuall I did a fair job. Other than the brisket area does not have much armpit area. So I made up for it by recreating an adams apple in the throat and shoulder blade and first rib cage muscle detail.
