I search the archives every where for this one it wasnt in there. I'm thinking of switching over to Buckeye Supreme hide paste for everywhere except the eyes, nose, and lips. How long does it take to dry, I'm talking about the Supreme hide paste not the one for dry perservative.

Whitey, Good stuff! I think the strong point here is not how fast it dries but how slowly you can get it to dry. I mount today, cover with large trash bag and make adjustments to the cape position tomorrow. With loose skin areas you can allow it to draw up some by bagging a couple of days and once you are happy with everything remove the bag and the adhessive dries. I let mounts set 2 weeks before repairs/finishing but if humidity is low you might be ok with a week or so. Try it-enjoy, Aaron H.
there wasn't alot of guys doing that(bagging). I start bagging when my capes start to come back. It allows me to keep mounting and adjusting like Aaron stated. I mount about 12-15 deer per week and at the end of the week, I can still come back and make adjustments if needed, if not I remove the bag and let dry completely. You will be amazed at the results. You will be able to pull more detail and expression in your eyes and facial area than ever before. Try it if you don't like it don't use it. Good luck and enjoy.
Best stuff i ever used and i tried several diffrent ones . i coat the whole form ,face, eyes,nose ,lips,ect .NO PINS , dry s in about 4 days ,i let dry for 2-3 weeks before doing finish work .great stuff .i reccomend useing gloves as a precation.
You just have to try the stuff and you'll be convinced like the rest of us.
hide paste I use. I know there are alot of great ones out there, but Buckeye Supreme works for me.
