I am getting ready to stitch my first pedistal form. I have done a wall pedistal deer and on the back side of it, I simply tucked the hide in a dug out trench and then I made an artificial rock to cover the rest of the exposed back. My question is, Do I dig a trench and tuck on the back of the pedistal form, or would it be better to pin the sides until the hide is mostly dry and then cut it off flush with the mannikin curves, air brush the edges, and then leather the backside? Thanks, John!

It's your choice and a matter of preference. Personally, I cut a fine slot and tuck it as I don't get the results I'd like around the brisket with the other method.
