I've never entered a competition before, and our State convention is coming up soon. I am considering entering a whitetail shoulder mount and am wondering how important it is to include some type of scenery or display along with the mount? I would be entering it into the commercial division.
Any tips or ideas will be appreciated.

Many mounts are hung on a back board with no display. Your being judged on your mount not the habitat.
