NO SKULL PLATE

Hey guys... Question! I have a guy who has a beautiful 21.5 inch spread 10pt that he found on his property dead. Instead of cutting the skull plate out with it, like we would do...He cut both horns off with a sawz all, with intentions of using them as rattling horns. Now he killed a big bodied deer, that had tiny rack, and he wants to put the big rack on his cape...to make long story short, I want to know what the best way to fabricate a skull plate, or another way to install it to the manikin...I have several Ideas but just wanted a second opinion. Thanks!

The catalogs carry them and also molded skull plates that shed antlers and cutt offs can be attached to for mounting

the best way I have found to do this is the shed system that I believe McKenzie offers. Once the antlers are attatched to this system, you have the freedom to adjust the tilt of each side and the spread of the rack. I think it runs about 40.00, but is well worth it. Everything can be adjusted while you fit the cape to it and the form. Great product. Hope this helps. If you order one and don't like the set up simply return it, but I doubt you will.

I've seen it

I've seen the one McKenzie has and it looks like it would work pretty good. It is about $40 but you have a lot of movement from the looks of it. Should be well worth the money and looks pretty simple to use. Other wise just about every body sells some thing of some sort for attching them.
