After Hurricane Katrina, paul e started making posts about two STOP-ROT treated capes that appeared to be salvagable. His freezer had been without electricity for a guesstimated eleven days.
I was holding my breath over this one, and was afraid to bet one way or the other. This was the biggest Trial by Fire that STOP-ROT had been put through to date.
I had e-mailed Paul when he announced the first cape mounted up and asked for photos. He was kind enough to provide the photos and a descriptive article that I put on hidetanning.net.
He has now mounted up the second cape from that episode, and sent me photos of that mount. I have added the photos to his page at this address:

I would like to thank Paul for sharing (even though it worried the Hell out of me), and I would also like to thank Ken Edwards and WASCO for providing the means to bring us all together and keep each other informed.
And, Paul, congratulations on your record, although I'm sure you would rather not have had the experience.
