i could use some advice on my pedestal mount. needless to say...its my first.what is the best way to get the back of the form ready for the backing material ? theres about a 1/4 inch lip where the foam part of the form meets the wood . ( where you screw it to your mounting stand. ) is it best to sand the form to meet the wood or use something as a " filler " and build it up to meet the form ? i dont want it to be noticed threw the backing material .

some bondo & resin. "paint" it on the back &around the edge about an inch. sand it, paint it, you have a good foundation for your backing.
