Hi guys & gals, heres the deal I was in a hurry or just not thinking but I ordered a form 7 1/2 eye to nose & a 20 inch neck at smallest point behind ears, for a deer hide that was 7 1/2 x 21 1/2. Now I usually order 1 inch smaller around neck any way but I wordering if the 1 1/2 will be to much? Oh it is a McKenzie form, or should I just order a nother form and use that one somewhere down the line?

I'd do a test fit and see what it looks like... My guess is that it will be fine. Did you measure the meat or over the hair? If the measurements you took were over the hair, you will no doubt be OK.
Hey Lee dont panic! The first thing I would like to Know is what tanning method you are using. I have tried them all and would like to share with you the system I use. If you are using a wet tan you need to take a meat measurement, right after you skin the head. Or you can take a hair on measurement. both at the smallest part of the neck, just behind ears. With wet tan, buy a form as close to meat meas. If you do a hair on meas., a good rule of thumb is to subtract about 2 inches. Example; a 22 inch hair on meas. should fit nicely on a 20 inch form. Eye to nose usually does not change. Or if you are going to use a powder tan, instant preserve ect. a hair on measurment will do. Heres a secrete, If you use the later method, try this: If your cape is 7 1/2 x 20 try a 7 1/4 or even a 7 x 19. You will have far more shrinkage with the powder tan method and the slightly smaller form will help.

I have a half rack skull mount. Does anyone know someone that can make another side too match.Or steer me in the right direction. Thanks alot
