setting mule deer antlers on form, please help?

This is my first mule deer. I have done whitetail and elk. But I put the antlers on the form and they don't look right. They seem too far forward. How far from the form eye socket to the bur of the antler? If anyone could provide a side picture of it I would be very happy. I am just a hobbiest now but I want to work up to be equal to you guys. I don't settle with I think it looks good, I want too know it is right. This is my first time posting. I have a digital camera maybe I can try to post a picture of the form with horns attached. Thanks everyone, I learn a lot from this website.

Setting mulie antlers is no different than setting any other antlered gamehead. If you did not take a nose to base of antler measurement, then you need to slide the cape over the face of the form, get the eyes aligned with the sockets and lay the flap back on the forehead. If the cape is resting up against the bases then it is right, move forward or back accordingly if not. I cannot give you a generic measurement because even if you are 1/4" off, it can cause problems with the cape pulling from the horn bases.

One thing that might be tripping you up is the angle. They do not seem to tip back as much as whitetails.
