Let me know what you think of my first mount. Obviously the finish work isn't done in the photo's.

if this is your first you are off to a big bang. Your ear butts need a little work but your eyes are pretty darn close. Great job!

As good as your eyes are, they are too alert, too open, just close them down a bit, with the ears back, the eyes should look more serious, or cranky/mean looking than on a sugar buzz. The eyes tend to widen when drying, I try to compensate by under sizing the width between the lids, so they dry or shrink to the width I want them when dry. The top of the ear butts need to be tight to the bottom of the antler, you have them setting on the neck. Looks better than most for a first, are you sure this is not your second or third?

deer mount. If I were charging 15 dollars an hour for my time, I'd have to charge about 800 for the mount! I appreciate the critique of the mount and my next will be even better. Thanks again.
