I have a friend who has pen raised deer and lots of great sheds from the big bucks. He is giving me some beautiful sheds to mount so I can have a nice display WT for my shop. My question is "Who are best reputable suppliers of capes?" I see a lot of ads on these sites and read a lot of negative comments. Who can I trust to get decent quality? Thanks.

Purchase from someone with a 100% feedback rating, that would be the best for buying on e-bay. Alternatively, search the archive here, there are many good transactions listed there from the past. But do the homework first, just dont buy from anybody.
Wildlife Galleries on the west side of Michigan as many in stock for sale, already tanned and in many sizes also.
I have a lot of capes ranging from 22" down to 18". They are all raw frozen but need to get rid of some. Prices are $50.00 to $100.00. I can ship them frozen or turn and salt. Shipping will depend on if you ship them frozen or salted. If I can help out let me know I am out of Rapid City, SD.

I didn't know the Wildlife Galery sold capes. They are very reputable. Thanks for that tip.
Before buying any capes from anybody on this forum, I'd get the full name of the person and their business name. Then search the archives for any negative comments on them on past sales. I did so, but I was still ripped off by someone that slipped through the cracks.
You should always leave yourself some recourse. From now on, I won't buy any capes unless I can charge the transaction on a credit card. That way, if the capes are not delivered, or you do not get what you contacted for, then you can go through the credit card company and get the situation corrected. And always post your experiences on this forum, good or bad, with any transaction. That way others can learn from your experiences.
I just got their latest catalog. It looks like they have some big ones this year. I've purchased in the past with no problems.
