For those that charge $400-$600 for a shoulder mount, how do you do your commercial deer ears with earliners?
Do you leave the cartilage bowl on or off? If you leave the cartilage bowl on do you stuff it into the opening at the bottom of the earliner when using say the McKenzie natra-look forward or back earliners or the Eppley forward earliner w/o the inner ear detail?
Do you cut the cartilage bowl off and use the earliners above and not worry about any inner ear detail?
Do you use the buttless Eppley earliners with inner ear detail and sculpt the ear butts with clay in any position required for the mount?
Do you have any other methods you use with earliners for your commercial deer you would like to share?

I like the eppley liners. Clay the butts cut off the bowl and pull the cartilage. Also rough them up before you glue
I remove the cartilage, but leave the cartilage bowl & stuff it in the bottom opening of an Eppley liner. Bofore putting the liner in the ear, I grind the butt of the liner down a little and reform with clay.
I would normally use bondo, but I have would like to try an ear adhesive. Any suggestions? McKenzie Adhesive or MagicSculpt?
