I am about to try my first wall pedistal mount on a whitetail and was wondering how much more cape do I need than a standard shoulder mount.

did i mess up over the weekend I completed the prep work on three whitetail capes (splitting turning fleshing dp tumbled and then froze) to mount in a couple of weeks. Should I have put the dp on then or put on right before I was going to mount. THANK YOU
Ive, used several different wall ped. manikins, my experience has been that you will need no more cape than a regular shoulder mt.
Look at the form you are purchasing. The arm pits and brisket along with the center of the shoulder where it meets the neck are good indicators of how much cape you will need. The table or full pedestals however usually require some extra skin for correct placement and coverage of the form.
