What are the pros and cons of using these earliners with the already formed ear butts as opposed to moulding the butts with clay?

Well first of all nobody can mount a perfect set of ear butts, acording to most taxidermy judges, this is wrong or that is wrong or they'll make up something when you have a smoking set of ear butts. They never question that the eye to nose measurment is wrong or the neck is too long or short or the shoulders are off,but yet they mysteriously find all kinds of junk wrong with the ear butts. I said that to say this, Good earliners are nice to work with, especially the ones with the ear butts on them... Rick...
...Earliners with the butts are too large and without the proper definition. It's been years sinceI've used any so there may be better ones now, but I'll never find out. Building mine with clay gives me the versitility to move and position the ears that the premolded butts never will.
