How can I slip deer hair?

Is there any commercial chemical that I can use to make the hair slip off a freshly killed deer? Thanks, Steve

nair

Use nair for short shorts...and to make the hair slip on critters too. Any depiliatory cream will work. Might take more than one application and might need to touch up with a razor depending on how clean you want it.

I like to use lime myself.

hydrated lime works good too. But then you have to de-lime and bate the skin before tanning.

Isn't Nair

Isn't Nair like $20 for half an ounce of the stuff which is only enough to do 1-2 sq. ft. of 'human' (basically hairless) skin? That is very un-economical.

Calcium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide. Use one of those.
Sodium hydrosulfide is what is used commercially.
[sarcasm]Shaving the skin too thin also works very well. Or try and get a lot of bacteria going and use those.[/sarcasm]
