I had a cape that was freezer burned last week, (CLEANING UP MY FREEZERS) It was very badly burned, I used the degreaser from BRUCE to soften it up within a few hours. John C

If it comes out it will bleach and burn the hair, and who knows what it will do to the skin! Inject straight water, or soak like John said and you'll be just fine.

Soaking ears

I had a deer in the freezer since 1994 I took it out to skin a couple
of months ago and it to had freezer burned ears. I injected rubbing alcohol
into them and also poured it on them and put a plastic bag over them.
It worked fine for me. I heard at a deer seminar once that is what the man
giving the seminar did to rehydrate around mammals eyes when they needed to
be adjusted but already started to dry.
