A COUPLE OF TIMES I HAVE HAD A GAP BETWEEN THE HIDE AND THE ANTLERS.SO NOW I JUST PUT A COUPLE OF DROPS OF SUPER GLUE AROUND THE EDGE OF THE ANTLER AND PUSH THE HIDE UP.you dont have to use much .i hope this will help somebody

I hope you super glue it after everythig is aligned,otherwise
I can see you getting into trouble trying to line up the small
tuff of hair on the side of the end.
You may want to try using magic-smooth. It is a 2 part epoxy
that works great! Also, this will allow you to adjust the skin
after everything is sewed up.

Before sewing your cape, try putting a small roll of clay around the
base of the antler skull. Then pull the hide in tight when sewing.
This will help quite a bit. When a crack still persists, I fill with
tan wax and push hide hair to it while still soft. Works great!
