4" Bluegill

Submitted by Bill on 6/13/01. ( dsbsds@cafes.net )

I took in a 4" bluegill to mount. It is a 3yr old's first fish. I was wondering if it would be better to skin and mount it or have it freeze dried. Also, can anyone reccommend a freeze dry service.

If you have it freeze dried you should try Rusty at Great Outdoors Taxidermy. I seen a few bluegill that he has freeze dried and they look really good. You can reach him at (501)967-6252.

I rathere do a simple cast than skin one of these little buggers out. It's not that simple and you can tear the fish apart if you have heavy hands. Personally do a repro, they look much better.
