Getting ready to mount my first hybrid bass and would like to know what you use for the bath? Should fish skins be tanned? How and what do you use in your shop?

Allen, all that is needed is a large pan bid enough to submerge the skin completely, a couple handfuls of borax and a cap full of lysol. This will preserve your skin just fine. Soak for at least 12 hours or longer if you like. I do all my fish this way and have never had a problem. Hope this helps. PS>> the borax is powder form from marsh supermarket or wal-mart.
