I want to mount a trout using 50/50 denatured alcohol & water, but I can't find how long I must soak the fish.

I have been using 1/3 to 2/3 water. This keeps the skin/fins from getting a little too stiff. I have left them in there for a couple of weeks. Usually over night is fine. Make sure to rinse them in clear water.
I've been using the old borax and water for years. What is the reason or advantage to alcohol and water? Just curious...Tom Sexton sometimes used Methanol for coldwater fish to help hold the scales, does denatured alcohol do the same?
Retains color much better. Chrystalization isn't possible either. Cut down of fishy smell. Speeds up drying time. I have used the borax solution before, I prefer this better. Good Luck.
