42 lb lake trout wowwwwwwww

wowwww weeeeeeeeeee! this lady caught a lake trout that was 42 pounds, 11.8 ounces at flat head lake this week,
wow! i would like to hear from the professionals about such a fish,,, if you were to get one in like that what is the protocol? is there a cast made? then on to mounting?
if i sound amazed at such a fish i am, last week i got a brown trout in my kayak, that pulled me around a bit and it was incredible experience.

If I was to do a laker of that size. I would reproduce all the fins and cast the head. There's way too much oil in the fins and head to try and mount something that big. On smaller lakers, I'll usually just cast the head and leave the real fin on the fish. The adipose fins on all my trout are reproduced.

...in that size range if they wanted to go replica. Otherwise if it's a skin mount, it's a cast head, tail and fins...
