I'm doing my first skin mount and have a question on using artificial heads.
Could you help explain where exactly to cut the skin. Probably not a big deal, but wanted to get some words of wisdom from the experienced fish guys. Any little suggestions, things to watchout for would be very helpful.
Also, if my fish measurements arent the same as forms available should I go with the next larger or smaller?
Thanks guys... bj

Cut it underneathe at the thoat latch. Cut the top just forward of where the scales end on a salmon or trout. You don't want to cut the scales - cut the head off in front of the scales. It should be like a sweeping forward arc from top of gill cover to top of gill cover...
Either way, then modify it to fit the fish.
